Half right Hive, it is actually the cleaning process they have to go through afterwards. Cats dont like being wet because of having to lick their fur to its original state, when their fur is in a position for so long it is uncomfortable to have it any other way.

It’s actually not the wet they hate. It’s the cold, because when you get wet, you’re getting cold sooner or later.

I think they develop this dislikie once they’re adults, because kitterns, in my experience, don’t care as long as it’s not a lake.

Have you SEEN a cat when it’s wet? They look so stupid. They are obviously embarassed to get wet because the other dry kitties will point and laugh at them!

Lol, my dog doesnt enjoy it either. .. I think cats are just more stubborn about it… mine has absolutely no trouble playing with water as long as it is on her terms…
