Social workers- generally this requires a degree in social care (or sometimes pyschology) and involves being allocated cases of families that need help/ need checking on as they have a history of problems, and making sure the teens and children are being looked after and working alongside them to ensure they are happy. You would also work with adoption/ fostering schemes.

Counsellor- this can be specifically for teens, or just a general counsellor for everyone. It involves listening to people share their worries and concerns and helping them deal with them and find ways to cope with troublesome parts of their lives. This can be private in a specific counsellors building or hospital, or within a school. A degree in pyschology is needed.

Therapists are similar and you could do the pyschology degree and then specialise. This could again be within a school or privately. You could specialise in areas such as cognitive behavioural therapy, art therapy and so on.

Teaching is another option and you can opt to work specifically in special needs classrooms and so on. You would need a degree and, in some cases, a masters to do this and can train as a specific subject teacher or general. If you wished to you could pick a particular focus, such as teens who have mental health issues, or deaf teens etc.

There’s way too many to list and the job descriptions get detailed. Social worker - This can mean a lot of things and can vary in the degrees. You can do this with a bachelors, a masters or a PhD (obviously each degree allows you to do more stuff). With a bachelors you can work directly with teens. There’s foster care agencies or outreach stuff you can do. Therapist (a counselor which means a masters in social work/mental health counseling/ marriage and family therapy or school counseling, a psychologist or a psychiatrist): Basically doing individual and/or group therapy with kids Guidance counselor: You basically help kids figure out what they’re going to do with their lives Teacher: Self explanatory
