It is actually pretty painful and hard to sleep on. I have my cartilidge, navel and tongue pierced…out of the 3 the cartilidge was the worse. I have ahigh tollerance for pain as well…I have 13 tattoos. :)

yes obviously anything getting stabbed through your flesh will hurt to some degree but it doesnt hurt much just DONT get it done by some inexperienced idiot at a salon or mall who uses the gun those people aren’t professional piercers’, they have no training no idea of what can go wrong and were not to pierce and the gun is full of germs from other peoples blood because they cant sterilize it also its blunt, which is about as good as shoving a nail through your skin it will make it take a lot longer to heal if you want a real piercing you get it done with a surgical steel needle the process is simple they clamp your ear, stick a hollow surgical steel needle through then thread the jewellery through the needle but be aware that school with a dress code wont allow them and most jobs consider facial piercings unattractive and unprofessional

When I had my cartilage pierced, it pinched like an ear lobe piercing. It does take a lot more care, and longer to heal. Also make sure that if you get it done, you’re careful when you’re sleeping on that side. I’ve had problems with mine almost ripping out. mine also goes through periods where it’s sort of uncomfortable, and then it’s perfectly fine. it all depends on your pain tolerance though.

It hurt a little for me when I got mind done but about a week later I went and rode a few roller coasters and that made the pain worse just take care of it and by gentle it will take 2 months 3.5 months max but don’t put in a hoop until you’ve had it for a while because it isn’t the best earring for there until it is complete healed and it leaves and indent on your earlobe
