Carbohydrates or Calories?

When dieting what is better to watch.. Carbohydrates or Calories intake?

Answer #1

Well, calories is the amount of energy, but carbohydrates is to do with a certain type of food. The bad thing about carbohydrates is, if you take too much it could eventually be fatal, because it would put more strain on your heart and blood pressure. But I can’t say the exact same for calories. I’m not one hundred percent certain of this, but I think too many calories could make you hyperactive or easily prone to diabetes. So I suppose they are both important in many ways.

Calories is the amount of energy in the food. Carbohydrates are just the type of food. High carb foods like pasta and rice are generally fairly low in fat and sugar and so are ok for a diet… unless you’re doing a weird sort of diet…
