Car sickness (or motion sickness) is caused when your body and eyes are sending two different signals to the brain, your body is sitting still, but your eyes see that your moving and send that signal to your brain. They sell products that can help with motion sickness such as bracelets or pills, some people say sitting in the front seat helps also.

Answer #12

Yeah, I get that way too. Open windows are my cure, fresh air helps. I need to be near a window. I prefer driving. If you cant drive, try the front seat. Motion sickness pills knock me out, so I can usually only take them on long airplane rides (or cruises, no idea why I ever thought a cruise was a smart idea). But if it is a long ride, they really do help. It does get better as you get older. But only a little bit. I no longer throw up on journeys, but I still feel terrible most of the time.

Answer #13

Eating icecream helps. Soft serve vanilla icecream. I am not kidding. One of my friends used to be a bus driver giving tours for school children and if they had problem with motion sickness he would get them icecream to eat. It probably works because it distracts you.

I find that chewing gum helps for me. Also motion sickness pills help, just don’t take them if you are driving yourself they might cause you to get sleepy.

Answer #14

eat something cold, dont read, the most successful way to make it go away for me is putting pressure on my wrist where my pulse is and holding it for 5 seconds then releasing for 5 and doing it to the other one and keep doing that back and forth till it goes away…. Keeping the window down for fresh air helps too….
