Can you write?
Well this is more of a request actually. I just started my first novel. Every thing id going good so far, except I am cannot think of what I can have my character do as in work. The story takesplace in the early 1800s and my guy wants to start an empire of sorts and I cannot think of one empire he could have started without getting in trouble for using someone elses empire. Does anyone understand my question?

Well in the 1800’s coal mines and steel works were very popular so maybe one of those..?

buisiness empire, political empire, social empire etc
Books are all about conflict, physical, mental, verbal, this guy will probably end up upsetting someone somewhere along the lines. if you’re talking empires then for every winner there must be a loser. A coal/mineral miner who is sick of oppression and exploitation of the working classes? probably didn’t help but there you have it.
