Can you hide a horizontol surface tongue piercing without retainer?

I’m 18. But I don’t want my parents to know because of the piercings I already have. The think I’m a freak already. But I just want to know if it’s noticable. Also explain the whole process of getting it pierced, and the aftermath. Thanks. And plez. NO “SMART” IGNORANT AMSWERS!

If you can find a piercer who is willing to do it, they can probably explain it to you in pretty goo detail. It’s not actually a surface piercing. It’s a piercing longways across the front of the tongue. It’s a pretty new piercing, so I’d be careful. I’ve heard from a couple friends that it can be a pain because they accidently bite theirs and it sometimes interferes with talking and eating and such. However, one of my cousins have it done and he has no complaints and I’ve never seen him have any problems. Maybe he’s just the lucky one, or my friends are big wusses =P The Process: The process is standard piercing with a needle and jewellery follow-through. The piercing takes more time to do, and can be painful. Some areas permit the employment of spray anestheia for the process. Healing can take 1 to 2 months, and the swelling typically going down round the first 2 weeks. However, healing time can be seriously lengthened ( occasionally over five months ) with the wrong jewellery and/or placement. The aftercare is the same as any other tongue piercing.

Another thing I’d like to add: Venom piercings are very similar, and they heal faster, maybe you’d like to try this?? it’d probably make it easier to hide because hey tend to interfere with speech and stuff less.

Best of luck and I hope I helped! xoxo
