can you help me with this simple math problem for a bar game?

I’m playing a bar game, and it says to pour a drink with 0.5 oz of vodka in it.

my sister thinks that they mean 0.50 oz, because when you make 0.5 oz of any drink it shows 0.05.

I’m trying to tell her that it means the same thing, but she won’t believe me. which way is right?

0.5 oz = 1/2 oz where as 0.05 oz = 1/20 th of an ounce.
