Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind sounds like that, as far as emotions go. Jim Carrie plays a character who tries to erase memories of his relationship.

There’s also Equilibrium, with Christian Bale. The plot: “In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death.”
