Can't get stud through my labret piercing

I just pieced my lip but with a safety pin but I tried to put my stud in (which is the right size) but it won’t go through. Now the hole I just made closed up, but how can I help the stud go through

I had the same problem when I pierced my lip yesterday. Although, after about 10 minutes of painful pushing, I managed to pop the stud through the hole I made with the safety pin. Totally worth it. Make sure you know what you’re doing: avoid veins, use clamps etc. The only reason I did it myself was because the piercing studio wouldn’t let me get it done :/

ugh wow don’t ice it professional piercers never ice it before they pierce. Also guarnteed most of the people on here do know what they are talking about. This is a web site just like any other website, duh. I agree you should have it professionally done, they know where exacly to put it so that it doesnt catch on your teeh, they can center it better. Also another reason to not use a safety pin is because the item that a piercer uses actually takes a chunk out of your skin. The piercing device is hollow inside and actually makes a hole.

Answer #4

That was probably the dumbest thing you could have done. You DON’T pierce ANYTHING yourself. Piercings are meant to be done PROFESSIONALLY. Why? Because a professional actually knows what they’re doing. Anytime you do a piercing yourself, you run a VERY high risk of infections, plus you probably didn’t even do it right, which is why you can’t get the stud through the hole! You might get infection, and if that happens, you may need to see a doctor (but of course that’s what you get for doing a piercing yourself! Hopefully you’ll actually learn from this idiotic move and never do something like this again). Wait for the hole to clear up and be 100% healed and then have it re-pierced BY A PROFESSIONAL.

Answer #5

Get a pro piercer to do it.. Doing it yourself can be deadly if the wound becomes infected or you hit a vein and or artery while piercing.. And if your lip gets infected too badly they will cut a hunk outta it.. So if you value your looks go get it done by a pro

Answer #6

These people don’t know what they’re talking about.

1st of all, it depends on the size of safety pin you used? A rather big one, about 18g is a good size. Because most earrings are 18g, maybe even 16g. It’s best do push the safety pin from the inside of your mouth, that way the stud will go in easier.

Ice the piercing, wait a while while you suck on the ice, the swelling should go down and you should be able to stick a STERILIZED earring through the piercing. ;]

Answer #7

thats because you just stupidly peirced your lip like an idiot a safety pin doesn not belong through any fllesh in your body and its too THIN, which means NO real surgical steel jewerey can even fit through it another reason why kids shouldnt peirce themselves because they have no idea what there doing and dont realiase that theres a lot more ro peircing than just stabbing a hole in your flesh. take tthe dtupid thing out. your not going to get a laberet through a saftey pin hole without stretching it, aggrivating it and causing it go go red, swell up and not heal. so take it out. take some time to think about if YOU actually want a peircing then save up $50 bucks and get it profesioanlly done its not that hard use your brain im sure you have one and if you cant be bothered getting a hole in your flesh profesionally done then you should be getting one AT ALL
