Being a Christian means following Christ. Being gay is disobeying Christ. Being gay is wrong. Jesus does not support gay life. A man is not gay because he was made that way. He is gay because he has picked up a liking to it. If I pick up a liking towards kicking everyone I am not made that way. Gay is sinful. If you want to get out of it Jesus will help you to.

exactly. forgiveness from god. you can’t just say you’re sorry and then go about your business. there’s a process you go through. actual steps.

If the sins are equally and easily forgivable by God, then they are equal in severity before God. Both stealing AND murder can BOTH be rectified before God, since they are both forgivable sins.

No… it says men cannot be with other MEN. It mentions NOTHING about women being with other WOMEN.

Yes, and it is really the only sin God cares about. God doesnt care if you’re stealing or lying or raping or murdering, cheating on your spouse, having sex before marriage, talking in church, yup you can be a christian and all those things. But you cant be gay and christian.

I dont use scripture cause I believe the bible is crap. you dont need to devote your life to a book to find what you believe.

Jesus came to deliver us from sin.

Repentance is necessary.

God is the judge of man.

He has the last say.

We can say or think or do, whatever we want to, but, we will have to stand before him, and give account for the way we lived our lives, and we will be judged according to his word.

If we desire to be saved, we are to forsake sin.

If our lives do not change, after accepting Christ as Savior, I would seriously doubt the sincerity of our motives.

Of course you can. The only reason someone is Gay is because that’s the way God made them. God loves you no matter what and obviously you can be a christian.

cappy…that’s quite a jump you’re making. you’re fogetting about the differing degrees of sin. not all sins are equal. murder is not the same as stealing a peice of gum. while both are sins, one can be rectified where one cannot. quite different.

it’s the same with homosexuality. it is one of the more serious sins.

I can’t account for all of christianity, but I can account for my particular sect of christianity(I’m mormon)—you cannot be a practicing mormon and be homosexual. yes, you can still believe in god. but you can’t practice. we believe that homosexuality is a temptation—not something that you are born with. we believe that through prayer, faith, counsel, and humility, the temptation can be overcome.

lol…and I’m guessing that’s not a very popular view…

when you’re repenting…trying to be forgiven, part of that process is making restitution. obviously it’s easier to make amends for the gum you stole…you say sorry and give them the gum back. murder is tricky…you can say sorry and be completely heart broken over what you have done, but it doesn’t bring that person make. you can’t fully rectify the situation.
