Number one.. it was wrong to pierce your ear by yourself. It could have caused all sorts.. infection is possible. However your question relates to swimming: I would advise you NOT to swim until about 8 weeks after the piercing because chlorine is an irritable substance to wounds, which is what your ear piercing is.

As long as its not infected,I dont see a problem with it. Its not a good idea to peirce your own ear, but i cant say much, cuz ive periced mine myself.. just wash it good, and make sure you use peroxide if it starts to get infected

Don’t pierce your own ear! It WILL I guarantee it get infected. And no you can’t go swimming for six weeks because thats how long it takes for the hole to become a actual hole. If you pierce you ear you have to use a special stuff on you ear for 6 weeks so it doesn’t get infected (becoz there is not yet a hole formed it is VERY sensitive). The only way u could go swimming is if u had that stuff. To make matters worse, earrings must stay in for weeks before u can take them out and be able to put them back in again. You can’t just put in a hole and be all gud. You must leave the earring in for weeks to make the hole. Yea, don’t do it. Infected ears can lead to massive swelling, icky stuff and PAIN! And before that everyone would have noticed your disgusting ear. Plus theres so many disease’s u cud get. just BEG! lol trying to be helpful don’t take it personally.
