Can I still have a baby?

I know I should be asking the doctor about this…but I’m really afraid to go and ask…

And I’m trying my best not to let my parents know…

I am not pregnant and during the course of a year my periods slowed down really drastically…I think I only have 2 days of periods and not a lot of blood flow.

I’ve had a few unprotected sex with my husband and still didn’t end up pregant.

Deep in my heart I’m suspecting something terrible…but I really don’t have the guts to go to a doctor and have him give me the ultimate answer…I’m scared im going to pass out…or as in my culture bring shame upon my family for not being able to have children…it’s like I’m cursed …and people will feel sorry for me…

And I keep having this dream that my bed sheets are stained with blood and I’m dying at child birth…

Can anybody help me with this?

Unprotected sex doesn’t guarantee pregnancy… it only increases the chances. Its not likely to happen on the first try.

it is not an unusual thing to have irregular periods, one thing the doc will probably say is try going on the pill as this sorts them out. I have been in the same position, and also periods are affected by stress so the more you worry about not coming on the worse the periods will be, just relax. ya getting in a state over nothing x get to the docs and on the pill

There are definitely a ton of hormone treatments that can help you IF that is your problem. It’s not uncommon to have light periods. Before I conceived my son mine lasted about 3 days and were very light- that’s not always an indication of a ‘hormone’ problem or any kind of fertility problem.

I would try doing the at-home ovulation kit. Try having sex the day you ovulate, and even more the day after, and the next day.

But all my advice counts for nothing- I’ve never been a doctor. You should really just stop worrying because you have nothing to go off of- go to the doctor! IF for some reason something is wrong, they can probably fix the problem for you, but sitting there dreading and worrying without reason is not helping you conceive. :)
