Can I get pregnant on the second week of my period?

lol…sometimes a period can last a really long time b/c of hormonal stuff,etc… once I had mine for 3 weeks…

but anyways… usually its the week after the first day of your period that you ovulate… so there is a bigger chane that you could be pregnant. However, I would not freak out until you take a pregnancy test. Remember to take it first thing in the morning (so your urine is more concentrated). If you get a negative result… but a few weeks later are experiencing some of the symptoms, then go to the clinic and take another one (or buy another home one— you can always get a false negative, it is next to impossible to get a false positive). OF COURSE you can get pregnant! I can’t believe you think otherwise. It is less likely during certain times but certainly not impossible at all. You will know if you go get a pregnancy test and take it. Then you should get to a doctor right away and make MAJOR decisions about your life and about the life of this little baby that suddenly will have not a Mom and Dad but a boyfriend and girlfriend. Responsibility is here. Sadly, you were told, and didn’t check further, that you couldn’t get pregnant. Good luck.

birth control has shown no negative effets on the baby…then again all I know about is the pill so you may want to double check.
