legally in the state of texas your considered an adult at 17 , you could move out but here’s the problem: you can’t get an apartment unless you make three times what it cost to pay rent. I know cuz i tried to move out when in was 18, i had a job but i wasn;t making enought to pay rent. So unless you have some place to go and you have your ownn car… go for it.

Why would your parents stop you? They’d probably celebrate with a glass of champagne the day you move out. Free at last! Free at last!
