Answer #2

Usually, if you get your GED you can get into college just as well as if you got your high school diploma. However, I’d recommend staying in high school. Seriously, life is a lot harder without a good job.

Answer #3

yes you can go to college if you get your ged .

but probably not a ivey leage college.

and if high school isnt for you then why in hell would college be for you. dont get me wrong go for it but a diploma is always more reliable.

Answer #5

College entrance is competitive. Different schools weight things differently.

If you have good scores on the SAT/ACT than a lot of schools will accept you with a GED. If you are competing against someone with similar scores, a high school diploma, deans list, extra curricular activities, etc. than you will probably loose out. Colleges look at the entire package.

Community colleges generally have open enrollment. If you take a year or two at community college and do very well you should be able to transfer to a 4 year school to finish your degree. Community colleges are usually cheaper, you may be able to save money living at home, and they are often as good or better than 4 year universities teaching core and basic classes.
