Can I get help without my parents knowing?

i dont want to look stupid or retarted in front of them, so is there a way i can get help? I always feel sad and lonely. any advice?

Answer #1

Yes you can…talk with your guidance counselor if you are more comfortable. But in my opinion, if it’s serious, your parents should know. Nothing sounds stupid or retarded when it’s your child calling out for help and advice.

Answer #2

Feeling sad and depressed is not retarded… and I think your parents would rather help you than have you feel this way. You can talk to your school guidance conselor, that is what they are their for. To help out students that need some help with anything. Talk to them anfd tell theom how you’re feeling. I feel this was sometimes too. Actually quite a bit… but I hope I helped you, and Good Luck. :)

there are numbers in the phone book you can look up in the white or yellow pages i believe but im sure its one of those and you can also go to a counselor, just to let you know everything you tell them IS confidential unless you are trying to hurt yourself or someone else or if you are danger im not sure if i named them all but you can go to one and ask what they have to tell GOOD LUCK!

Answer #5

school counselor (same thing), they are there to assist students with troubles or questions.

Answer #6

what is a guidance counselor?

Answer #7

You know what may also help? Write in your journal. You could sort out your feelings there and you might be able to figure out what is missing. Then go from there.
