Can Dandruff Shampoo give you Dandruff?

If you don’t have dandruff and you use a dandruff shampoo will it give you dandruff?

I wanted my hair to be softer and I saw the commercial on TV about it starts at the scalp.. I bought the silky smooth pink head and shoulders but I didn’t have dandruff. Now I am noticing flakes and my head itches more than usual.

Could it be giving me dandruff? or is it something else?

maybe your skin is irritated by an ingredient in the new shampoo your using

If you have really sensitive scalp then sometimes change in shampoos/conditioners will do that. Eventually your scalp should get used to it(:

It is something else. I use the same brand, and I do not have dandruff. I didn’t have it before I bought the shampoo either. I like it because it prevents dandruff and it makes my hair soft so… I used it and nothing happened. Either you have a hyper-sensitive scalp, or it is just something else.

If so it would be very strange. I don’t think a shampoo with extra moisturizing power would dry out a scalp, ya know? it wouldn’t make sense. That’s like saying someone who doesnt have dry skin using a lotion that makes their skin dry. very odd
