Can birth control pills make you gain a lot of weight?

I’ve been on the pill for almost 2 months now and I look super thick now, mostly in the stomach area (I kinda look prego) I took the pill a long time ago and gained some weight but my mom says im just fat =/. Help please!!!

Some people gain weight and some people lose weight. I think it depends on you body.

yeah all the answers are correct. you could talk to your doctor about it, and see if you can change the type of birth control your on (one with either less or more hormones depending on which one your currently on.). that could help seeing as different amounts of the hormones affect each woman differently.

nope, you’re absoloutly correct!! I’ve got 3 out of 5 friend who are on the pill and gained 5-8lbs!! it’s crazy, it’s mainly cause the pill contains hormones in it, so I’ve been told!!
