What if he doesnt have an erection?

Ok ..kind of a weird question but I need to now as I might be doing this soon.. so if im kissing with my boyfriend and were getting passionate..and I want to go down on him or say wank him.. ..

if he hasnt got an errection? by the time I reach into his pants?Lol
