Whoa, not even athletes take in that much. It’s somewhere around 2,000 for a normal person and around 7,000 for Olympic athletes daily… :/

Answer #4

Ooops wrote 10,000 by mistake, meant 14,000 to 16,000

Answer #5

that’s wayyyy too much lady.

Answer #6

@Mig - the OP and Queenie are talking about kcal per week, not per day.

Answer #7

Oh shoot, you are right good sir x) This is per week, how silly of me x)

Answer #8

I apologize Queen :P usually calorie questions are daily and not weekly, must have caught me off guard there :P

Answer #9

@Kahili the average moderately active middle aged woman needs around 2,000kCal per day to maintain a stable healthy weight. That equates to around 14,000kCal per week. The average man needs more than that due to their higher typical muscle mass.

Answer #10

@mighty its ok :-)

Answer #11

ooooohhhh i thought it was per day hahaha. NEVERMIND, carry on. >_<

Answer #12

The average sedentary person takes in around 2,000 calories/day or about 14,000 cal/week. It is difficult to say how much athletes take in since athletes often compete in weight classes, but for someone like myself to jump from 65kg to 69kg at a reasonable .5kg/week I would need to consume roughly 3,700cal/day or 25,900cal/week.

Answer #13

LOL, tammy I was about to be like woooaaah girl. Haha, if you ate that much in a day, you’d be the size of earth :p lol, but nevermind. That’s per week :) everyone listen to Tammy!!

Answer #14

Lol yeah you sure would be.

Answer #15

It depends on what you eat/ how much you eat. I think it also depends on how active you are. Ever since I have been training lots I take in more calories a day but I also burn more. I take in about 2400 a day.
