California DMV

im going to be getting my drivers permit soon and one of the requirements is this form called DL 44. you can either have it mailed to you or you can get it at the DMV office. can you get the form while you are there getting your permit and fill it in there?

Yes, you can pick up all the forms at the DMV office when you arrive. Just make sure you grab the form and fill it out right away, instead of waiting in line before doing so, as then you’ll get sent to the back of the line and end up waiting the whole day.

Also, show up if possible an hour before they open…yes, you end up waiting an hour or more, but, it’s a lot faster than showing up mid day, as the lines will be really long.
