This is all what is given. The question is; Work out an estimate for the mean number of words in a sentence

To calculate the mean average, just add up all the items, and divide by the number of items.

okay I am confused with all of the l’s but how you would calculate that is taking all the numbers adding them together and dividing by the total amount there is so how I see it you take 1+5+6+3+18+6+10+5+8+40+11+15+4+16+20+2+21+25+3 what ever that equals and then divid it by 19 now with 1-5, 6-10,11-15,16-20,21-25 if you mean a subtraction sign by that then you just subtract the 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 instead
