How far would a bullet go if it never makes any impact?

Answer #1

Depends on how heavy it is and how high you’re shooting from.

Answer #2

depends what gun your firing it from..

some guns can make their bullets fire miles, others just meters.

is there a particular gun your wondering about?

Answer #3

Most guns have a different caliber. Sniper rifles have designed bullets that make it easier to move through air without loosing speed and making it resist more air before it actually stops traveling. Hand-held pistols would travel less and would have less impact at the end. If you consider angle, then some pistols would make it longer if aimed up. There are many factors. Also, it is really hard for a bullet to not hit anything in a straight line.

Answer #4

it depends on a lot of things, like the type of gun and bullet, the weight of the bulet, the direction you shoot it, the direction of the wind which could slow it down a bit or change its direction eventually. there is no definant answer, but a bullet will eventualy stop, it cant go on forever

Answer #5

It would keep going for ever if it made no impact. In the atmosphere, the bullet suffers continual impacts with air molecules and the “aerodynamic drag” (air resistance) slows the bullet down. At the same time gravity acts to pull the bullet towards the earth, but it continues moving until it impacts with the earth (or something else). . If a bullet was shot into a total void - in “ outer space “ it would keep going for ever or until it impacted with something like a distant planet that stopped its original motion. . Light and other forms of electromagnetic energy consists of little “bullets” of energy called photons and radio-astronomers have detected photons that have been moving for over 13,000 million years before they stopped on impact with the radio-telescope. In that time they travelled around 300 000 kilometre every second or . 300,000 x 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 x 13,000 x 1,000,000 km in total . which is over one hundred thousand million million million kilometres. .

Answer #6

Ussual sniper range is about 1300 feet or 400 meters. With bigger range bullet looses accuracy, but not destructive abilities.

Biggest fight range gun is considered to be NTW 20 Rifle. But it’s not actually a riffle, but a cannon.

Answer #7

It depends on what gun and it’s range. Also, gravity would drag it down eventually.

Answer #8

Isn’t this one of Newton’s Laws? An object in motion remains in motion unless acted upon by a force or whatever? and the same for an object at rest.
