What are some good books about MODERN China?
I am preparing to travel to China this summer and would like to do some reading up on the culture. I know China has a vast history, but I would prefer books about modern China rather than the olden days. Fiction, non-fiction and photography books all ok.
I have some good books for you as you want to know about modern China for travelling.
Go to Amazon and try searching these books: “The Search for Modern China” “China (DK Eyewitness Books) “ “China (Eyewitness Travel Guides)” “China Survival Guide: How to Avoid Travel Troubles and Mortifying Mishaps”
All of these are very useful for travelers to learn more about China. You can buy these books from 10 -20 dollars.

There’s a new photography book called CHINA: Portrait of a People by Tom Carter that is over 600 pages and only costs $16 on Amazon.com. It’s very good and shows us many places and different kinds of people in China. Pretty much my new favorite book about China. Check out the video below for an idea of what it’s like. Remember, there are over 800 pictures in this book!!!
