Why is body hair unacceptable for girls but ok for guys?

Well it’s not unacceptable or acceptable. It just depends on the person you’re talking to. Like I think guys should shave too, I hate hair and if my legs are hairy or something my boyfriend doesn’t care or anything. It’s more of a personal preference.

I personally think no one should shave except their armpits. That’s the only part I consider gross for anyone, men or women.

I think it just has to do with what is considered to be beautiful nowadays. I mean, if you look at old famous nude paintings, the women were thicker and had hair. Now, women are ‘supposed’ to be thin and entirely smooth. I remember reading somewhere too that it started in the adult industry where po.rnstars started shaving and men and women followed, don’t auote me on that though I find it very believable. Personally I couldn’t care less lol, if my boyfriend was hairy or hairless.

I think it’s because hair is manly and all guys have it. And these days it’s become the unspoken rule that girls start shaving at young ages because it does look lady-like. Unless they’re hippies.

i actually prefer women to be natural- the way nature intended it- there is a reason for that hair and it can create all kinds of issues if it is not there.

i believe that the cosmetic industry has helped create a certain look to help sell products- as well as the adult movie industry.

it should be personal choice whether to shave or leave it alone- i find the hair erotic and it is a turn on of mine.

it actually helps when u get kinda cold and it shows that u r a possible tomboy (which is a semi- good thing)

Really the US is the only place where girls shave their legs and arm pits. I mean if you think about it we all hate shaving but love the way it feels after. Guys don’t shave so they don’t know a difference.

Having hair, male or female does not mean you are manly, it is just an opinion. It is called being hairy. Don’t blame girls for being hairy, it can be hereditary or too much male hormones girls with pocs.

Ehh, I just dont like the feel or look of body/facial hair on anyone, it feels better smooth lol.

That’s exactly what I believe too, the part of the cosmetic industry and the adult industry. Personally, I never really cared all that much ;o although, I have close to nothing to begin with lol.

woman need to shave because fourplay. it’s simple who wants to lick and kiss on hairy legs . as for the private area to be honest i haven’t seen full bush ever in person. all girls these days trim or shave hell until my current woman i rarely seen any hair at all on a woman. why cause men find it sexy. and women are vain creature that need to be accepted.

Ideology now has roots in the media; through TV, magazines, the internet, etc and everywhere you look there are hairless women, especially in erotic magazines and such. It’s become the ‘normal’ and in some cases can be an unacceptable expectation simply because 99.9% of images you see in the media are photoshopped (a professional photoshopper estimated this, saw the video in PSE). It can be unacceptable because both men and women have aims that are unreachable mainly because the images are made to show the unattainable. Sure, you can shave and wax but you can’t exactly change your body shape. Men are also affected, thinking they need to be muscled and toned to be ‘acceptable’. Down to your question directly, yes it can be down to personal preference, just talk to your partner etc to see what they like/dislike. It’s no point trying to impress someone who you’re not going to be with just to be socially acceptable. Everyone’s beautiful anyways :)

most girls like being the same when it comes to ‘’down there’’ if you kinda get what im saying but guys have a different opinion. in most cases guys dont actually care most of the time they just want sex and as long as there getting some there not bothered

a girl with hairy arms is sexy

it is only the feeling not a standard for girls and guys. some girls also want hairs and some boys dont wnat any hairs. so it is a matter of preference
