Are some bodies more prone to infections than others?

I have eight piercings (none of which I cleaned as well as I should have during the healing process) and I’ve never gotten any kind of infection. Even with cuts, scrapes, wounds, etc; I’ve never gotten an infection.

Yup… it all depends on your imune system :)

Yes! So if you look at swine flu, a lot of people got it and others didn’t. Some even died! But why didnt other people get it or die from it? It’s because some people have better/weaker immune systems… Plus everyone is different :)

Yes, it depends like Paul said on your immune system. I get sick often and infections often because I have a weaker immune system due to asthma and tons of allergies, others won’t. Also people who have had a disease previously would have build immunity i.e. antibodies and won’t get as sick or might not at all.

Yes. Some have weak immune system, others have extra-sensitive immune system (like in allergies), and some poor souls have, hyper active immune systems (like in cystic fibrosis and some autoimmune conditions)
