Blonde to black hair

Would it really ruin my hair if I were to use a non-permanent dye (like an 8-wash) and dye my blode hair black? Because me & my friend want to do it for fun! Does anyone not recomend this? If it were a wash out, im not sure if my hair would be the same blonde colour afterwards..

Some info: Although do-it-yourself highlights and hair-color kits are easy and inexpensive, the results are almost always not in your best interest. Get a recommendation for a good stylist and consult with him or her (as well as your parents!) before you decide to change your hair color. There are infinite shades of “blonde,” “red,” “brown,” or even “black.” A stylist can help you pick the best one for your skin tone. Also, your current hair-color might react to certain dyes.

Answer #2

My friend did that, she died her hair Dark brown. It stayed like that for 3 months. Then it started going green. I wouldn’t if I was you.

Answer #3

Blond hair is more porous and soaks up and holds colors longer. Unless you are prepared to have black hair for awhile I wouldn’t do it.

Answer #4

I had blonde hair and put a 30 wash in making it black. That was like 6 months ago and my hair is brown now lol. pretty sure it stains

Answer #5

If it’s not permanent, it should be fine. Hopefully it won’t turn your hair a different color once it washes out. But going from blond to black…that’s cool!

Answer #6

so long as my hair wouldn’ go purple or anything from when the blonde grew back, and yes this dye washes out in 8 washes, not 8 hours.. so I think I might not dye it..

Answer #7

If its an 8hour wash it should ‘WASH” out. So yes, I think it will still be your natural blonde color. No reason it shouldn’t be.

Have fun with that :]

Answer #8

I think if anything you should try dying your hair maybe a dark brown. and not a black. because even though it should wash out it really doesn’t. I’ve had black in my hair before and let me tell you that was the hardest thing to get out of my hair. I like went through everything & finally I had to get it bleached out and still then it wasnt the same color as the rest of my hair.

Answer #9

I like totally want to do the same thing.. go ahead and try!!!

Answer #10

Dyeing your hair wont ruin it - peoples hair get ruined when they dye it over and over again WITHOUT providing their hair with the proper nutrients.
