Blonde hair dye damage

ok I have reddish hair right now and I want to die it black and blonde, I just need a change ya know? yeah well, how bad would dying my hair blonde? I have slightly damaged hair already from straightneing it so often but I want it to be blonde SO bad! I’m nt planning on doing my whole head blondejust the middle part… advice?

Answer #1

I dyed mine blonde and it actually wasnt damaged at all but when I dyed it back brown was when it really became damaged. Your hair is really pretty right now and your made for darkerish hair so if I were you and I wanted a change I would maybe dye highlights in blonde or some of the top of your hair blonde instead of the whole thing.

Good luck!

Some info: Although do-it-yourself highlights and hair-color kits are easy and inexpensive, the results are almost always not in your best interest. Get a recommendation for a good stylist and consult with him or her (as well as your parents!) before you decide to change your hair color. There are infinite shades of “blonde,” “red,” “brown,” or even “black.” A stylist can help you pick the best one for your skin tone. Also, your current hair-color might react to certain dyes.
