Yes. It can be done, but your hair will be like straw if there is any left. When I tried to get the black color out of my hair, I had to stop at orange so my hair would not fall out. Good luck.

i used to have black hair underneath my blonde hair. i have naturally blonde hair. i definetly wouldn’t recommend dying your hair black. my friend paige dyes her underneath black like i used to. but she dyes it semi-permanent. so maybe you should just do it semi-permanent that way if you like it you can dye it permanent. and if you don’t it will fade out. she has blonde blonde hair. so like it usually comes out to like a golden blonde like my hair. when it fades out. so hopefully i helped you.

It would be hard but i only went like 2 hues down from my original hair color so it wasn’t really a problem for me to find a color because my hair color is typical not really rare..so yeah you can probably find the color closest to your original hair color or first dye it dark brown afterwards and keep going down with the hues til you get lighter..i have no clue but try it..!
