Should I take out this ear piercing?

I got my ear rim pierced yesterday and although it bled when it was pierced, it stopped after 20 mins. Last night I accidentally slept on my sore ear. This morning it constantly bled throughout college. My tutor gave me permission to go to the body piercing place (Blue Banana) to ask for advice. Two of my friends went with me.

The piercer looked at it and said it was fine and that it looked normal. I went back to Blue Banana at 1:30pm and the girl who previously pierced my tragus looked really concerned and shocked at my ear rim. She said my piercer should have cleaned it when I went to see him earlier. She cleaned it up for me. But she still looked worried.

All my friends have their ear rims pierced and they said theirs didn’t bleed. I’m just worried because my ears seem to have a lot of blood in them. My tragus bled A LOT after it was pierced, and now it seems my ear rim is too. Maybe I’m just being silly? Even random strangers on the street were saying “Sorry, I don’t know you, but you’d better take that ear labret out. That looks nasty!” I’m just really confused and worried. :(

Did anyone else’s ear rim bleed?

Answer #1

Its better to take it out and wait for it heal. After it heal, then go pierce again if you want.Maybe the piercing goes wrong? So better take it out now.And go find the piercer and ask whether is there anything you can do to clean it.Maybe buy anti-biotic to clean it.But it may burts at first.Good luck! ^^

Answer #2

How are you cleaning it are you removing the blood clot (black scab) from the piercing…if so just soak it well and gently remove any build up if it does not come off dont force it it will naturally come off it self when it is ready in the next few days that why it keeps bleeding

Answer #3

I pierced my rim, and it bleed for a bit. It only ever bleed after that when I moved the ring. If it doesn’t clear up in a week or so, I’d take it out.

Answer #4

I’d leave it in, clean it in the morning and night, use a salt spray (H2Ocean–you can get it at Hot Topic.), and DON’T TOUCH IT.

Answer #5

Well, just take it out! Leave it for a few days then try again. I’m sure other people don’t go through all that when they are pierced, so listen to their advice!
