Birth control opinions.

Ok,so I was wondering how many of you think since your on birth control there is no need for condoms/spermicide ?. I do not completely agree with this. I want all the protection I can get against pregnancy, while still having sex, however, I have a few friends that have been on it for like 5-6 months, so they feel they are just as safe only on birth control, then using anything else. They could be right, but I just feel safer with both. I mean its not like birth control has this bearrier that, like, pushes the cum back out. Ya know.?.

Condoms are the best choice in birth control.. I tried other methods and the pill makes most people gain weight.. besides that if you arent in a solid relationship I advise you strongly to use condoms.. beth is alittle confused.. I think she just stated her anwser wrong.. condoms stop the egg? umm wrong.. condoms only stop the sperm.. the woman suplies the egg.. STD’s are more comman then most people think.. besides that the sperm in you, can cause an odor and make your vaginal bacteria out of wack.. Even if you are on the pill I would defenalty use condoms!

Birth Control is 98 percent effective when used properly. That means never missing a pill, taking them at the same time every day, etc. If you are in a long term relationship or married, then there is really no reason for you to wear condoms or use spermicide unless you are just paranoid. Although that being said, when you are a young teen and going from boyfriend to boyfriend you have no clue how many partners they have had and what STDs they could be carrying. Birth Control does not prevent against STD’s. There is also HPV which there is no known test for men. Men carry around this disease and spread it to women and have no clue they even have it.

I have been on birth control for over a year and a half now and we very rarely use condoms. I know his past and he knows mine- we don’t need them as we don’t have any S.T.I’s. Although I totally see why you would want to protect yourself as much as possible, it’s very mature and sensible and nothing wrong with it. As mandyloo said it is up to 98% effective and it does provide a barrier and some could argue it is better than condoms as it stops the eggs from releasing. In my mind anyway it is better and safer.

ok I have never used spermicide. But with birth control and a committed relationship, I think you can omitt condoms. But this is only my opinion. And there are still things that can be sexually transmitted when wearing a condom like herpes, warts, and possibly some others. Just be careful and if you are sexually active with many men you need to think about your health first and continue wearing condoms with the birthcontrol because the condom protects from pregnancy but also disease.
