How big will my Saint Bernard and German Sheperd Mix get?

right now at 19 weeks he is around 50 pounds maybe a little more? (Mom is pure saint bernard and dad is large german shepard)

Answer #1

That really depends. I have a labrador mixed dog which is really small and she is supposed to be bigger. She’ll probably be smaller than the st bernard but larger than the alsation. Sorry for the vague answer, but it is difficult to determine if a dog isn’t pure bred.

Answer #2

I agree with Irene, it is very difficult to tell how big a mixed breed dog will get. However, it should be somewhere in between the average sizes of the 2 breeds.

Answer #3

My father used to raise German Shepards (20 years for the Sheriffs Dpt). You will probably be looking at a 50 - 70 lb dog. Just keep in mind, German Shepards have Hip Dysplacia, so keep an eye out for any pain or intolerance around 10 years of age.
