How can I tell my boyfriend to take a shower in a nice way?

I like the idea if his dad isn’t home. Cause he wouldn’t if his dad was home. His dad doesn’t go out very often either. :(

Tell him that if he respects you he will keep himself clean. If he refuses. go out and get another boyfriend. In this day and age there is no excuse for not keeping you body clean, not only for you health, but for the people around you and love you. Nothing is more discussful then to have to sit and smell the stench of sweat on a dirty person. If its bad now, just think when and if you ever get married. It will get worse.

We have dated for 2 years and its just been a recent problem so I don’t get it. But I will try talking to him in a nice way. I agree there is no reason for it. Any advice on what to say? Any idea why just recently he hasn’t been taking a shower? Could it be cause I just moved in ?

Does he like actually smell or anything? Because feel free to call me gross too but unless I’ve been working out or have been sweating a lot. Three days between showers is not that bad.

No he doesn’t smell. His hair looks greasy though. I just find it gross when his hair is greasy. For me I can’t go two days without feeling gross but I guess its different for everyone?

wen hes walking by be like did u just take a shower, cuz ur hair is soaked. wen he says no he’ll feel selfconcious about his greasy hair and maybe then take a shower. and maybe point out u only have sex after he showers. say: smell alone tonite or hav sex, its ur choice.

Exactly what she said!! I’d let him know you were getting a shower and wanted some company!! Other than that you could say ewww babe, you stink!! Go shower!! At least that’s what I tell my husband, he’ll appreciate your honesty.

That would get me in the shower ;)

Offer to do something good in the shower, lather each other up and take pleasure in the whole experience of getting dirty whilst getting clean If not then talk to him carefully explaining why it’s off putting, it may just be the shampoo he’s using that’s causing his greasy hair

Ontop of what Harley said, if you explained to him how you feel about it (especially the not wanting to have sex part) I’m sure he’ll get right to showering for you again.

Ugh I had to deal with this a lot with my last boyfriend. I would start telling him all the time about how much i thought his hair was so sexy when it was wet, so he would always start taking showers before we hung out. You could also always tell him how good he smelled right after the shower, make it seem like you’re praising him, and mentally he will start to take a shower more just to receive that positive response from you.

well… sometimes being blunt and to the point is good but a great way is either “baby i need to talk to you about something. hygiene is a big thing with me… and well sometimes you really stink.” or with me and my boyfriend im just like “you freaking stink go take a damn shower!” but the easiest way is saying “babe why dont you hop in the shower with me” ;)

Tell him “hey insert pet name i love you and all but I think it’s gross when you don’t shower for a few days. Could you shower daily just for me?” and give him a heart melting look that he can’t say no to.

You can be super sneaky about it, Like say something along the lines of ‘’I love my hair after i shower, but girls dont need to wash everyday, Guys on the other hand need to shower EVERY day, sucker ;P ‘’ .. then it sounds like your just making conversation that started out about you.
