Best Streches for Cheerleading?

Ok so I’m going to tryout for cheerleading this upcoming year. And im willing to commite to everything I do. I never back down, so I’m going to practice every day and give it 100%. So what are some good streches to use everyday?

I was a cheerleader last year! the stretches we did was sit down and form your legs on the ground as they would B in the air during one of your jumps, and reach out in front of u! like if your stretching 4 a hurkie, then you sit on the ground, bend one of your legs back, and have the other leg 2 the side, and reach out 4 the leg 2 the side! this will improve your jumps! so remember make it look like your doing the jumps, while sitting on the ground and stretch out!

Good for you that you are giving 100% and some streches are middle split strecthes hold them for a long time and regular left-right splits

                   do these everyyy dayy 

it took me app. about less then a year do do a left split completely

also practice bridges, cartwheels,trampolines really work ..practice flips,handsprings,round offs, ect.

I was an all star cheerleader for a long time. (Tiger Elite) If you want to get good at cheerleading, I would definitley recomend starting private lessons with a tumbling instructor, because most likely at tryouts they will have you do jumps, tumbling, and a dance. And that person could show you the basic jumps, motions, and tumbling. I would stretch EVERY SINGLE DAY now until tryouts, straddel, split, wrists, ankles, arms, etc. Just practice

so I’m a cheerleader and the stretches we do are basic make sure you can do splitz both legs vertical so practice that make sure you work your hamstrings and calves, but most importantly biceps, and triceps . people think cheerleading doesnt take strength but trust me it does!!! you’re lifting people up and catching them, handstands cart-wheels splitz jumping up and down everything takes muscles so it would be best if you just do every possible work out you know start running everyday, lift weights, eat healthy and try to have some of the cheer leaders from last years squad help you with cheers , good luck!
