what hardware do I need to get for video confrencing?

Besides the webcam I need to get the headphones and the microphone also or just the webcam is what I need to make a video conference.

u can make a video conference. with just a cam but if you want to the other person to hear u , you must get a headphone or a web cam with built - in mic

I didn’t read any responses so I apologize that this is repeated info. I’m guess from what you told me earlier that your computer doesn’t have a built in mic. you do need a web cam, (you can get a pretty decent one for around $20 - $40. it doesn’t have to be fancy) and you can get a mic for around $30 (that is actually the most expensive one at BestBuy. the cheapest was about $17) and you really don’t need a set of headphones because of your internal speakers. but if you do want headphones and a microphone I suggest that you get a combination mic/headphone set. that will run you about $30 at BestBuy.

Some webcams have a mic built in, if your webcam doen’t, you can get a freestanding mic and listen with speakers (although you may get feedback), or get a headset with a mic and headphones.
