Is Benylin cough syrup dangerous to dogs?

Our vet said that we could give our dog the cough syrup, but I am a bit apprehensive. Isn’t this suppose to be dangerous to animals.

Yes, basically to reduce the irritation to the throat. It is safe and is used by most vets as the prescribed cough mixture

Lots of Vets recomment Benylin for dogs who have Kennel Cough, it’s effective and not dangerous.
