As I said to someone else, it ain’t going to be painless, because when you shove a needle in your skin there is going to be some pain, but it shan’t last to long, and as the person above said just keep cleaning in, and like be careful it don’t get caught on things.

Lol if I knew the thing about the nerve I wouldnt of had mine done! but honestly it doesnt hurt, well I couldnt feel a thing, except when they sprayed the numbing spray on, it was so cold it stung. You will be happy after its done :) just keep cleaning it.

if a nerve was hit, you ouldnt really pass out, youd probably start loosing lots of blood (that could lead to it) and horribly dissfigure the area but the chances of that happening are extreemly rare, unless yo7u get some random backyard job by a really inexpirienced idiot… at 14 your body still groing though so by the time your 16 it will be half grown out and just dangle there…not a good look so it would be best to wait a bit longer also make sure its something you actually want not to be cool or because everyone els edoes…theres no rush to get a hole in your skin also if you decide to take it out later on youll be left with a pretty noticible scar that will fade with time…as for pain, depends on your pain tolerance but it should be anything you cant handle the process doesnt last for long they clamp it, stick a hollow needle through, then thread the jewelrey in the needle…and as the needle comes out, the jewelrey goes in. but yeah, make sure you actually want it becfore you get it done

I have had my “belly button” pierced for five years, and as far as you should be concerned about infections and what not, you just have to clean it with bactine(its an antiseptic and cleanser as well, can be found at almost any drug store). it does take a while to heal all the way, after about four months you can change the barbell or ring, and they say it does take six to eight months to heal, but if you dont take care of the piercing it will take way longer to heal.

as far as the pain issue goes…they clamp onto you navel what looks like tweezers with loops on end. with the pressure it makes the area goes numb, and yes depending on your pain tolerance, it may hurt a bit or not at all.(no scars are involved if you take care of it and let it heal properly. if you dont take care of it and it gets infected; its reccomended that you have the person who did the piercing take it out so that there is not any further damage)

im not saying any of this to scare you. im an expirenced piercee and tattoee. I have my navel (belly button), eyebrow, tongue, and 6 piercings in my ears done. I also have four tattoos on my wrists and hips, and frankly the one that hurt the most was getting my eyebrow pierced, because its right next to the eye and a very tender area in my opinion.

if you want to get it pierced, when yue go in to do it, just dont think about it when they start to do it, ask them if you can jam out(while being still) with your headphones on or something(if your afraid or nervous).

ok I am deathly scared of needles. I still cry when I go to the doctors when I have to get a shot. I can not tollerate pain at all! I say get it done though, I had it done and the only thing that hurts is when they put on the clamp, because it liek squeezes the skin. but when the needle goes through it only feels like weird pressure. dont listen to people who tell you it only feels like a pinch because a pinch hurts worse. I remember researching how bad is the pain etc.. for getting your belly button pierced. I didnt believe anyone when they said it didnt hurt. well now I do because it doesnt that bad. its totally worth it. just if you do, keep it very clean! and good luck.

Answer #9

ask them to numb it first, then you dont feel anything. I am petrified of needles…doctors needles hurt more and as the person below me said, the clamp hurts more then the needle, and that dosnt hurt at all! =]

Answer #10

I have my bellybutton pierced and the only thing that hurt was the clamp as soon as they took it off it kinda hurt but not bad at all. I went out with friends straight after and it didnt bother me all day. just make sure you keep it clean and dont change it before the 3month period or it can scar if you change it to much or mess with it.
