Being a Kid

Why is it that when you are young that your parents tell you little lies when you are young? Not serious ones, but my mom told me when I was a kid that parmesean cheese was made out of the fuzz from between your toes when you take off your socks. Now I won’t eat that on anything since I instantly asscociate it with “feet cheese” (that was what she called it) She also told me that the pork slivers in some wonton soups were worms. I’ll eat wonton, but I won’t eat the pork slivers. Why do parents do things like that to their children?

LOL…I think sometimes they forget that a real little kid, or a kid who’s gullable by nature, might just believe it…

Most kids, when they find out it’s not feet cheese simply forget it.

maybe they didnt want you to eat that certain thing for a reason, so they tell you that lie… as far as some other lies, they may not think you need to know that information yet, that you are too young. or that its easier to explain without you getting hurt..
