Base Ten Blocks for multiplication

My granddaughter has a math homework sheet with multiplication problems that need to be solved by using base ten blocks then “sketching the array for the product.” I have no clue about this. HELP please? The 1st problem is 17 x12

Answer #1

array means “order or arrangement” and product is the answer of a multiplication problem. If I remember correctly, base ten blocks are little bars made up of cubes that can be pulled apart. if you have 7 groups of 10 (7 x 10) you would draw seven bars and each bar would need 10 squares in it.
