Is it bad to have a bar that's too small on a navel piercing?

Could it just look too small because it is swollen because you pierced it yourself and it’s infected? Anyways, if the bar is too small it can cause swelling and pain and get irritated much more easily.

If you have swelling, your bar could be covered up primarily by your swelling but once your swelling is over with, you will see more of your bar. But if there is no swelling, I would be concerned. I wouldn’t even wait, I’d jump into a car and go to a piercing parlor right now. You do not want to take a chance with piercings. You risk a infection by having done the piercing procedure by yourself. I’m not talking a minor infection, I’m talking about one that could probably land you in the emergency room while you’re draining puss from your naval.
