How do US baking measurements convert into UK measurements?

I am going to be making ice cream next week but the recipe book i’ve got is the ben and jerry’s american one and none of the measurements make any sense to me does anybody know how they convert?

Heres a website with different equivalents and measures. Not sure if this will come in useful http://funadvice.com/r/158sufvmlf1

American and Canadian recipes are usually in cups, teaspoons and tablespoons. Nothing is usually weighed so it ends up being easier. Is that what the recipe looks like? Maybe you could show us the recipe and we’ll see what we can convert with some of the web sites that offer conversion charts.

If you can find something that’s 250 ml, that would be one cup. Doesn’t matter whether it’s milk, sugar, flour… it’s by volume/capacity. I find it harder to use UK recipes and convert grams and ounces to cups, wish they were all the same!
