how do you get rid of bad breath.

how do you get rid of it when you have it when you first wake up. I mean I know brush your teeth, but it there a way to get rid of it other than just brushing and chewing gum and mints?

watch what you eat the night before as some food can give you bad breath.

if you brush, gargle with Listerine and floss before you hit the hay, you shouldnt have bad breath in the moring.

I was watching tyra banks show and she had a doctor on there and she said we get bad breath when we wake up because when we sleep the body stops producing saliva and the bactaria multipliys and creates that bad smell but she said brush before bed(as you already know) and drink a glass of water

brush your tounge as well because most of the bacteria and bad smell is on your tounge so lightly brush it with a toothbrush

Dude, straight up, I struggled with this for like 2 years. Although I brushed my teeth in the morning, I STILL had to chew gum all day to keep from scaring people away. Then, I discovered the tongue scraper. You can get them at the store. It’s similar to a tooth brush but at the end, it’s this little V-shaped thing and after you brush, you run it from the back of your tongue and scrape all the bacteria off. I do this 2 or 3 times a day and I no longer have chronic bad breath! :)

Its not really preventable… when you sleep, your mouth dries. With less saliva present, bacteria will grow more easily.

Crest DOES make a mouthwash (night effects, I think). Its supposed to coat your mouth to prevent bacteria from growing. But it leaves its OWN unpleasent taste in your mouth, along with a filmy build up, that you practically have to BRUSH off…

So I wouldn’t recommend it. Aside from brushing and rinsing before and after you sleep, the only other advice would be to use a tool called tongue cleaner.

i know u said no gum but this isnt a cover up this might actually help there are certain gums that can kill bacteria like cinimon flavors try smartmouth mouthwash or antiseptic mouthwash cuz antiseptic is germ killing but if ur going to use mouthwash drink lots of water cuz mouthrinses have alchhol in them alchahol dries out the mouth and when ur mouth is dry ur breath will stink thats y pples breath reeks so much when they drink and scrape ur tounge because 90% of bacteria comes from the tounge try cinomin toothpaste or mouthrinses or dentine pure it purifies ur breath delicously well thats wat the comercial said
