What does it mean when someone says "you aren't wet behind the ears" ?

I think I know what it means but I don’t want to asssume anything/.

The term “wet behind the ears” originates from being a newborn infant, and still not thoroughly dry..in other words, you’re still wet behind the ears. If someone said to you “you aren’t wet behind the ears yet”, then it was used improperly.
