Are you pregnant if you get your period when your on the pill?

I just started using a new birth control pill and just had my period a week ago and had sex on sat and than on sunday I got my period. Could this mean I am pregnant or it’s just my body getting use to the new pill? All answers would be great, thsnk you!

you are probably not pregnant. a lot of times there is in between period bleeding for the first 3 months. check the website for your pill brand. if it lasts longer than 3 months talk to your nurse practitioner or gyno. this happened to me, but it went away after a while.

Having a period is not a sign of pregnancy…however, it would be too soon to have any symptom of pregnancy.

If you just started taking the pill, you should be using an alternate form of contraceptive (like a condom) for at least the first cycle - what you’ve done is risky and you can end up pregnant.
