Are mermaids real ?

no they arent real! lol I useed to think so use my granfater used to sail and he always tells us storys about this mermaid that would always hang out by they boat but he made those stories up lol

when ever I go to jamaica my grand mother told me about a mermaid that gave her ex husband her comb cause she liked him my grand ma said she saw her . She always said 1 day she is going to bring me there before she dies but now I live in america so I guess I will never see 1 I think they live in the carribean like the piates use to.

I do believe in mermaids, I do, I do. They are real, no one has ever gone deep enough to see them. Plus, the myth has to come from somewhere.

I actually heard a similar stories from many of my family members aswell who are from Jamaica. At forst I didnt beleive it, until my own mother told me a story about her own mermaid sightings. She actually saw a mermaid more than once. When she was younger she would have to go to a local river to wassh clothes and etc.and would always hear multiple voices singing. She would say they sounded like opera singers, the way they never really said words while they sang but did so anyways. She described the mermaid as being caucazoid (white), long dark brown hair, possibly dreaded, with a seaweed-lie material wrapped around her chest. She was apparently sitting on a rock untangling her locs. There was talk about a strange comb being found at the base of the river also. Which everyone wanted because they believed it would grow hair.
