Are Camels, horses, girrafs, deer and moose all related?

Are Camels, horses, girrafs, zebra, deer and moose all related? like, did they come from the same prehistoric animal?

Answer #1

no they each came from a different pre historic animal

horses were much smaller and had 3 “fingers” im not sure how the rest were but they definitely came from different great grand parents

Answer #2

If you go back far enough, we all evolved from the same prehistoric animal :)

But in order to answer your question accurately, you need to be more specific in what you mean by “related.” As you might know, the scientific classification system is divided into kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species starting with very broad categories of life (kingdom) and progressing down to very, very specific plants and animals.

Giraffes and horses share the same kingdom, phylum, and class – mammalia – but that’s as far as it goes. The similarities between deer and moose go all the way down to their family, Cervidae. And horses and zebra are alike all the way down to their genus, Equus, and differ only in their species.
