Will smoking prevent conceiving?

Lets just say, I personally woudn’t use smoking as a form birth-control :) …Smoking may figure into fertility a tiny bit, but there are a host of other things which figure in far more.

it can slow you down a bit to where it’s harder, but I don’t know about preventing.. it’s bad to smoke even before you get pregnant. you contaminate the body in which the child feeds and lives off of. of course it’s not as bad as when you’re actually smoking while pregnant, but it’s still really bad.

well it can’t prevent it. but it can cause birth defects. like if you’re smoking while you’re pregnant your baby could become addicted to nicotine, and eventually end up dying.

so if YOU ARE trying to get pregnant, STOP SMOKING.

im so going to have my first kid when im 40 :-P

are you on the pill because I know if your on the pill and you come off it, does take longer for your bod to get itself back to normal - see doctors are great people to see for stuff like these :-)

I have friends whose mother smoked while she was pregnant with them, and they aren’t quite right. Perhaps it is, and there is some reason that it is.

ok well no… not necessarilly.. depending on how much you smoke. but it is said to prevent it on occasion.. also if your trying to get pregnant DONT SMOKE it is very dangerous to a child.
