answerin really old questions

I have noticed people answerin like old questions like from a yr and own back…and I was just wonderin is there really use of answerin those questions…b/c most of them are like questions that deal within at the moment and it be over with by now…and too most of them people hasn been logged in since that question…

Im not sure. Maybe for the fun of it. But id like to see a year later MORE people answer.

While answering the old questions might not be terribly useful to the original poster, it IS useful for anyone new who wonders the same things as they did. Many people find this site after Googling some info and having an old question pop up in the results. In those cases, all the information and opinions they can get is very useful.

  The Question shows up in various Search engines so new answers are always nice to have. Also, the person who authored the question may receive an email that there is a new answer to their question, so they may be attracted back to Fun Advice.
