How do i answer this?

ok so this i the question i got on askfm and im not really sure how to answer it…

“tbh i always get jealous of you {my name} your so pretty and i feel like i need to try harder because of you but i realize how stupid i was because no ones ever going to be able to compare themself to you {my name} i love you so much”

the question was anonymous and i want to be thankful yet reassuring that they r also a beautiful person. also i think i know who it is and it may be one of my friends with depression so i need to be gentle. thanks!

So I’m not gonna teach you how to reply but I’m just gonna write what I would’ve said if I’d gotten that question:

Well you don’t have anything to be jealous about! Don’t compare yourself to me. No matter what I do, I’ll always be second best in being YOU. You’ll always be the best in being yourself. Ever thought about it that way? :) you’ve got a beautiful soul and you’re amazing just for saying that. Haha everyone gets those tbh’s. Just say, “No you don’t need to try harder or need to get jealous of me. You’re already perfect and beautiful. Just be you.”
